Ayden's First Day of Preschool!

Ayden went to his first day at Primrose School yesterday! He loved it so much that when I came to pick him up at 12:30 pm, he looked at me and said "Go away." Ahhh, makes a mom feel good. :( What happened to the days of running over to Mommy with such excitement? :) The teachers said that he had a good first day. He was a great helper at clean up time they said and was happy, cooperative and friendly. He also was so excited that all the other kids go on the potty, he even tried himself. We'll get there. :)

If you can't tell what this is, there are two people near the parked cars...Pancho and Ayden went exploring amongst all the construction, I mean neighborhood! It sure will take a while for this neighborhood to shape up. Oh well, at least we'll have a new house. :)

For those of you that know Ayden, you know he has lots and lots of energy! For the last few weeks since we got here, Ayden and I have been attending a Parks and Community of Cary class called "Stretch and Grow." Each thursday morning for and hour, we get to pretend to be animals, sing songs, collect, kick and throw balls, play with hula hoops and oh the favorite game of all...run from one end of the gym to the other. :) If Ayden had it his way, he would start the class playing this game. The teacher says, "Ready, Set, Go!" They all run. What could be better for Ayden? I think I need to sign him up for more of these classes for the fall!

We are moved into Cary, NC

Hi all, I've decided to join the gang who journal about family updates on the web.

We are back from Puerto Rico and are all moved into the temporary apartment here in Cary, NC. Our house is getting closer and closer to completion and we are really excited to move in. We have had numerous appointments already to choose the remaining selections such as light fixtures, carpet and window treatments. Last week the granite went in and this week all the knobs went in on the cabinetry and the light fixtures were installed. Our close date has been moved up to August 31st. :)

We are all having fun hanging out with cousins Frank and Sonja. We all visited the NC Museum of Natural Science the other day. We have also shown them the house and have had a few meals together. It is so great to have some friendly faces near by. We have also explored on our own. We have visited the indoor mall to escape the heat, played at playgrounds and hung out at the pool. Ayden and I have attended a few playdates with our new moms group called the Triangle Mommies. The moms are nice so far and the outings have been well organized and fun. Ayden and I are also taking a fun class called Stretch and Grow at Cary Community Park. They get to sing songs, pretend to be animals, play with the parachute, hula hoops, balls and more. Right up Ayden's alley.

We have found a new preschool called Primrose School and so Ayden will be starting a three morning a week school schedule on August 13th after he finishes a week of swim lessons at the YMCA the week prior. Pancho goes back to work this Monday and they are sending him to Charlotte and Denver all in the first week. He is getting excited to find out what his job will be like, but has definitely enjoyed being a vacationing dad and husband. I guess we can't avoid the real world. :)
