Beach Action!

Watching this action was one of my most favorite parts of the trip!

My dare devil child riding the waves and my little one trying them out for the first time. Oh and bonding with Papi was so fun to watch too!

Beach House Sillies!

When we finally arrived at the beach house on Hilton Head Island, the kids were so glad to be free of the car, that they ran all over the house being really silly! Here's a clip. :)

And We Hit the Beach!

After the lighthouse, we made it out to the beach that evening before it got dark! We had to hit the beach for just a little while since we finally made it to Hilton Head Island! It was beautiful!

Running back and forth from the shore to the sand was very entertaining for this guy!

This was our first night...we found a convenient spot to eat right by the beach house rental, the hotel next door!

The next day we rented beach chairs and an umbrella! Now we were really on vacation!

Ponce Deleon Lighthouse

After the NASA visit, we made our way to a lighthouse that Granny had been wanting to visit that same day. We drove back north somewhere near the Daytona raceway (our hotel was right next door! Thankfully no loud races that day!) The lighthouse was the "Ponce Deleon Lighthouse." Gabriel and I stayed at the bottom and played on the grass while the others hiked up to the top!

We Have Arrived!

We made it to our first destination!! The big day at NASA's Kennedy Space Center!! Ayden was so excited...he had been waiting for months!

On the Road!

On May 31st, my work was done (and boy, did I finish up a couple of big events!) and so we were all able to make our way down to Florida for our long awaited vacation!! Granny and Papi were here after their trip across the country and so we packed up their big mini van and headed down to Cape Canaveral, Florida. We stopped on our way down after 7 hours of driving in Jacksonville, FL. Here are a couple of shots from our rest stop break on the road! :)

End of Spring Soccer Season!

I know I've already posted photos of Ayden's Spring soccer league, but I couldn't resist this group of photos that we took on the last day of the season! The team photo takes me back to my many years of soccer as a child! I can't wait for the Fall season! I hope Ayden is as excited for the Fall season as I am. :)

Here's Ayden at the end of the season party and a shot of his two coaches giving him his trophy! This was his very first trophy for any sport!

Just Goofing Around!

We discovered that Gabriel likes cinnamon bread, which is great because he wouldn't eat very many other carbs...so needless to say...the cinnamon bread has been a staple in his diet for a couple months now. (In this photo) He has been making a habit of getting his bread, going over to the play room and sitting in the bumbo seat...he thinks he is so funny! :)

Then he had a fit over something...I don't remember. Poor guy!

These kids have such a great time when they play well together, which is most of the time! :) Here, Ayden was "Officer Awesome!" I'm not making that up, the costume says it right by the pretend badge! :) He made a "police car" and they had fun riding around the hallways!

Mother's Day Gifts!

Nothing melts my heart more than homemade gifts by Ayden (& Gabriel too, but he hasn't quite got there just yet!)! Ayden brought home these Mother's Day gifts that he worked on at preschool a few days before the actual holiday. Hmmm...so that makes this photo from May 8th.

Who needs a bouquet of flowers, when you can have a bouquet of your child's hand and foot prints! :) I love them!

These were just some cute photos of Gabriel helping me to "clean." He saw me wiping down his old Mickey car and thought he would help out. :) Such a cutie!

Strawberry Picking!

In early May, at the very start of the strawberry season, I took the boys picking at a farm very close to our house! We invited some neighbors and Maeve, a little neighbor friend joined us! It was pretty warm already that day, but we sure found some yummy, ripe strawberries!

Playdates - Boys & Girls!

In late April, we had Gabriel's friend Zoey over to play. Don't they make a cute little couple? :)

Zoey's older sister Bliss is only a couple months younger than Ayden so the two girls play very well with Ayden and Gabriel! Ayden certainly has more girl friends than boy friends! I guess he gets enough of that rough, boy time with his friends at preschool. :)
