I often joke about how God was supposed to give me a mellow child when I had Gabriel since Ayden is at the extreme far end of the active scale. Well, more and more I think God decided to give me a challenge in blessing me with two very active kids! This video made me laugh because Ayden is running back and forth and every limb of Gabriel's is in constant motion. They never stop!

Last Days of Summer!
All greased up and ready to swim!
Gabriel's first time in the water...well his feet went in! :)
I had to dress him up in his little swim suit at least once this season even if he didn't do any real swimming. It was worthy of a few photos anyhow. :)
We are taking advantage of the pool since we only have one more weekend left before it is closed for the season!

Five Months Old!
Ok, I know I do an update every month about Gabriel but I guess I am making up for Ayden's lack of journaling when he was 1-3 months (I only have two paragraphs and that is it...I was up every three hours for months straight and had no brain power to journal)!
Anyhow...Gabriel is getting more and more mobile. He puts his knees under him a little now and scootches forward, he is rolling like a champ and like to play on his tummy a lot more now. He is quite the athlete and likes to do back arches to try and get off the floor! He has so much energy that he now likes to check out what is going on around him when he is supposed to be nursing! He is very particular just like his big brother and wants to play with a dish and spoon (trying to feed himself) when he eats his cereal and fruit. Mommy or Daddy feeding him is not interesting enough!
Poor Ayden...
Learning The Lincoln Logs!
Say that three times fast..."Learning The Lincoln Logs, Learning The Lincoln Logs..." Ayden received Lincoln Logs back in January for his third birthday, but really had no idea how to build with them. Well, dad and Jan, if you are reading this (they kindly gave Ayden the Lincoln Logs)...he is pretty good at them now. The above photo is proof! He built these two "buildings" all by himself!
The McKays, Gilbert's and Grandma Betty Pass Through Town!
I didn't manage to get photos of everyone else, but we had fun over Labor Day weekend when Aunt Judy, Uncle Henry, Grandma Betty, Cousins Elizabeth, Robert and their daughter Alexandria stopped in on their way back from their beach vacation. We missed the other part of the clan (Cousins Frank and Sonja who were celebrating Sonja's 30th Birthday in Vegas!). We had a nice lunch together and a few more meals and time together at their hotel and over at the mall (since Henry, Judy and Grandma stayed for 2 nights). Ayden and Gabriel's cousin Alexandria (who is 7 months old now) is getting so grown up...she is sitting up and crawling around! Hard to believe!
Goofing around!
